Advent Season

Since I am a bit ( a bit????) lazy with blogging during the last weeks (typical "christmas-seasons-stress"....) I want to provide you at least with some advent impressions. Photos taken in our home and in a nearby shopping mall.

I will add some more during the next weeks.

Christmas tree

Yeah...this year we have been in time with buying a christmas tree!! Last year we were very late and had to take one of the left-over trees for a horrible price!
Today we took a walk and only 700 metres from our home there was a man selling christmas trees. He was one of the few sellers that were open on sunday too, and he had hundreds of nice trees available still. That was very relaxing and we took our time until we found tree one that was good for everyone of us.

Since we have been there by foot only, we had a little transportation problem then, but I found a good solvation: we took a shopping cart/trolley from a nearby supermarket, out in the christmas tree and "drove" it back home.

Even if we were happy to have a little less now to think about, I had another thought coming into my head. How many christmas trees will stand in our living rooms all over the world for christmas? And, wouldn't it be an even better feeling if we all would celebrate christmas without a christmas tree?? I am not sure about that...for many people it wouldn't be real christmas days without a tree.

What do you think about that? how is the tradition in your country?? Could you do without a christmas tree?

Geocaching - Der 210. Cache

Cache!

Bremer Freimarkt

The Bremen Freimarkt is the third largest fun-fair in Germany after the "Oktoberfest" in Munich and the "Cannstatter Wasn" in Stuttgart. Lots of caroussels, roundabouts, food and drinks. We always join the Freimarkt. We usually do not spend too much money on it but enjoy the special atmosphere.

Do you want to join us? We took some photos and you can view them here.
If you are interested, you can also download some wallpapers/screensavers here.

Harriersand

Another sunday-another excursion. This time we went to "Harriersand". It is an island in the middle of the river "Weser". We went there to do some hiking or maybe relaxing at the beach...but the scene was a bit disappointing. One narrow road of 11 kilometres length with no possibilities to turn left or right. And the "beach" was a 5 metres wide beach, with fine white sand but with a view to the harbour and indsutrial area of the city of "Brake". Not really a place where I would like to spend more than half an hour maybe. But there were a lot of visitors there, mainly bicyclists and motorbikers.

The official info:
The island Harriersand is with its length of eleven kilometre Europe's longest river island. In the past Harriersand consisted of seven islands, which were in the course of the Weser correction and deepening through bank undercutting to one island united. With the Lower Saxony area and administration reform the 600 hectare big island became part of the community Schwanewede on the 01.03.1974.

Little holiday cottages with beach view are available for rent. On a lovely evening walk along the beach around the island one can admire the brightly illuminated neighbouring town of Brake and then enjoy a rest at the restaurant. It is also possible during the summer holidays to take the little pedestrian ferry to Brake.

The Weser's "right sidearm" is home to a little natural harbour, which is exposed to the tides so that ships have ground contact during low tide.

Knoops Park

One of our excursions led us to a "jewel" of a park. "Knoops Park" situated in the north of Bremen near the river "Lesum" was one of the nicest parks that we have seen around Bremen. It is not only the tidyness and the old, old trees (some of them more then 100 years old) that make this park special to me. But because it was founded and by an old Bremen merchant who also had kind of a castle in this park, it still has something like an aristocratic touch...a very special charactere. Hard to describe...come here and find out yourself ;-)

So, the park is about 65 hectare large, named after the founder "Baron Ludwig Knoop" (1821-1894). In 1870 the Baron gave order to the garden-architect "Wilhelm Benque" to build a park along the banks of the river "Lesum". The result was a huge park with lots of narrow, winding ways and many resting places. The area itself is a bit hilly and gives the viewer a good look over the whole scenery including the river.
Only 16 years later the castle "Schloss Muehlental" was built in the centre of the park. The castle was not really in use and none lived in there for a longer time, so, in 1933 the shabby castle was totally demolished and today there are only some rocks left that give an idea of where the castle once stood.

No connection

From today on, my internet connection at home is cut off. I changed the provider and will have to wait about 2 weeks for the new port/connection. During this time, I will probably not publish any new posts.

Of course you can still reach me via e-mail. I will read them at my office.

Music and Light

As every year, we visited one of the nicest events in Bremen: Music and Light at Hollersee. Classical music in the dark, outside on a stage in Bremens most beautiful park near the lake "Hollersee". We have been there maybe 10 times already and this sunday we have again been fascinated by the atmoshere and the very well performed music.
This time there have been about 20.000 (!!!) people enjoying this event.

The official information:
The biggest musical event in Bremen's Bürgerpark is the concert "Music and Light at Hollersee". The Bremen School of Music plays classical pieces and well-known modern works conducted by Heiner Buhlmann on the stage in front of Hollersee. On this occasion Hollersee (a pond) is illuminated while young and old listen to the music with torches in their hands and enjoy the mood and fireworks during the concert. This event is sponsored by all those involved and is additionally funded by renowned Bremen companies. The proceeds from the sale of torches also go as a donation directly to the Bürgerpark's coffers. Not to forget the Play Activity Programme, whose organizers and staff take part in selling torches at the event as volunteers.

Cornfield Labyrinth

Have you ever been to a Cornfield Labyrinth??
We have been to such a labyrinth and really enjoyed it. When we entered that area, we saw a playground for kids made of hay bales, a small cafe, a look-out tower and a lot of resting places where families held their picnic.

The labyrinth itself is in a cornfield of maybe 500 x 500 metres. There are prepared ways for walking of appr. 1,50mtr width and it took us nearly 2 hours and 3 kilometres to find our way out again. The corn was standing very high...nearly 3 metres, and so it was no chance at all to have an approximate overlook. Fortuntaley I took my GPS Unit with me and via the "tracking" function I was always able to see where we have already been. So, we did not have to spend time on trying some ways double maybe. But in the end we had to try nearly every way because we did not only have to find our way out, but there was also a "detectives game" taking place. Means: Every visitor had to find 12 stations inside the cornfield to answer questions. Everyone who solved the game takes place in a lottery and the first prize is a trip to the Euro-Disney Park near Faris/France.
We solved all the questions and now all I need is a little luck...

Bookcrossing

This morning I was listening to a podcast where they were talking about "bookcrossing".
The thing is to share books. You register at bookcrossing.com and there you can register any of your books that you would like to share with others and/or give away. You can leave your book just somewhere and write it down on the website. Someone else will probably find it, read it and place it somewhere else. I have searched the database and found out that there are about 40 books hidden somewhere in the city of Bremen.
Sounds like a very interesting thing to me and I will surely try it. I will post it here as soon as I have found my first book somewhere...

Since I am already a member of geocaching, this bookcrossing thing is not really new to me but I don't know anyone who already is a member and/or has any experiences with bookcrossing. If you know about this, please drop me a comment.

Childrens Day

Yesterday was a huge event in Bremen: It was Childrens Day. This event is like a big party for kids with lots of toys and different exercises/games to play. It is a yearly happening always under the motto: Making kids strong (In German: Kinder stark machen). Means that children should be raised in a responsible way, showing them the good stuff in life, giving them self-confidence and holding them back from drugs, criminality etc.
I don't know how many children have been there yesterday, but in our newspapers it was written that there were about 700 people who made this event possible and did all their work for free. Must have been some thousand children there.

My 200th Geocache

Wow...today I found my 200th Geocache. I am a member of Geocaching.com only since October 2006 and my first found was October 25th. So, it took me exactly 10 months to find 200 Geocaches. Not bad. A lot of memories belong to each and every single cache. There is always a story behind it even though the story itself is not always that interesting ;-)

Today we had no plans for this saturday and took the chance to go out geocahing all together. We did not want to make a huge effort on a difficult cache and so we decided to visit 2 traditionals, only 15 kilometres from our home.

The first cache (Am Rande des Brammer Moors) was situated in an active moor..so we had to watch our steps to not get lost forever ;-)...*joking*. It was a nice walk of 2 kilometres in a silent forest. The cache was hidden pretty well and we searched for about 15 minutes until we found it. It was hidden behind a rock, just above a small beck. To grab it I had to do kind of an athletic movement to not fall into that little creek.

It was fun and we signed the logbook together. The only thing negative was the fact that it was only a very small container (film-canister only) and so Jale had no chance to do any trading in this cache box.

Mein 200. Cache

Date or Shoes

This morning I went to work by car. The first time since 2 weeks again. And I was listening to a local radio station where they were playing kind of a telephone game called "Date or Shoes" with 2 of the listeners.

It went like this: The radio station called a woman and said that there is a man who wants to date her. She knows him from her work, freetime or somewhere else and live on air she was asked to have a guess who this mysterious admirer could be. He was listening in silence live to all this on another line. The woman sounded very uncomfortable while guessing who this man could be. She guessed 3 times wrong and finally she was told who this admirer was.
Now it was her turn to decide if she wanted to date him (a weekend in france paid by the radio station) or is she would prefer just a pair of new shoes!!

Isn't that sick?? What are those games good for?? To humiliate people or just to satisfy their search for sensations and their voyeurism???
Unbelievable and disgusting habits on my favourite media nowadays..........what do you think of this??

La Strada

Today we took a walk through Bremen again and all over sudden noticed that there was "La Strada" - the street circus festival taking place in Bremen. We couldn't see too much of all the performances because it was saturday afternoon, sunny and warm...it simply was too crowded. And since the artists don't perform on stages but on the streets, it is not too easy to see anything if you stand in 10th row or something. But what we saw was an impressive show of an english/dutch couple ("Fullstop Acrobatic Theatre") performing a mix of acrobatics and theatre play...Highly recommended...very impressive...very professional.
If you are interested, here is the official information. Check out the site if you like.
Since thirteen years
the international street circus festival LA STRADA takes place in Bremen.
The festival offers a surprising and exciting programme and changes for one weekend the atmosphere in the town. Acrobats and artists, dancers and dreamers, clowns and comedians, mimes and performers, LA STRADA offers all aspects of street performing arts.
This summerly street circus spectacle has become one of the largest and most colourful festivals of its type and is well known all over the world.
During four days international artists present the freaky and flashy but also the quiet and beautiful aspects of street theatre for free. In the evenings, the LA STRADA artists perform highlights of their shows at the great Circus Gala. The visitors support the festival by buying the festival programme and the festival button.

Author Writes Entire Novel on Cellphone

for all those of you who go crazy for writing text messages on their mobile phones.....found this on www.mediabistro.com

When we say "mobile media," this isn't what we usually have in mind. Still, props go to Robert Bernocco, an Italian IT professional who penned an entire 384-page science fiction novel using the T9 text system on his Nokia cellphone.

"It really was a time management issue. He had a book in him and really wanted to write it but found he just didn't have the time to sit and do it on a computer," said Gail Jordan, PR director at the book's publishers, Lulu.com, in the Reuters article.

Swinging Worship

Some days ago I posted a note about the Bremen Jazz Festival.
Today it was the last day of the festival and it was a sunny day, so we intended to join the crowd again. First we took part in the worship held in the St. Petri Dom and a band of the Bremen Jazz Festival, the "Swing Company" was the musical support inside the church. They played songs like "When the Saints", "Amen", "Nobody knows the trouble I've seen" and lots of german traditionals too. Well, I like participating in the worship and especially in such famous and impressive churches as the Bremen "St. Petri Dom", but I did not like the music, I did not like the way how the sermon was preached. So, I let my thoughts flow free into this wide church and when my soul landed back in reality, I felt as if only 10 minutes and not 90 minutes had passed.

But I really was proud of Jale who was with us and she was such a good girl for all this long 90 minutes. What a great personality already!!!

After the worship, we spent more then 4 hours in Bremen city again, listening to the music, strolling around, having some snacks and cookies. But it was not as nice as it was some days before. Why??? Well, all shops were opened this sunday afternoon (usually in germany all shops are closed on sundays), the sun was shining and a lot of music was flooding the streets of the city centre. It was a huge crowd...everyone was friendly and relaxed but it was full of people and you had to queue everywhere for everything. Not really "my cup of tea"...Besides that, the music today was more like Jazz for old aged, not like an adventureous trip.

Anyway it was a good day for us and for some hours I forgot that tomorrow will be my first working day again after 6 weeks of absense....omg...how can that possibly work out good at all?????????????????

Bremen Jazz Festival

Today we visited the Bremen Jazz Festival.
On 3 stages in the city centre of Bremen there will be about 200 musicians performing Jazz and Swing music of different kinds. From traditional New Orleans Jazz to Blues, Free Jazz, Son/Salsa, Improvisations and old fashioned smooth and soft Swing.

It was the first time that Jale was with us late in the evening and we all enjoyed it so much. The first band we met near a shopping mall. A marching band from Netherlands performing the traditional New Orleans Jazz on the streets. Jale had a 30 minutes warm-up for dancing here ;-)

Around 8.00 p.m. we were at the biggest stage on market square to join the concert of the "Flying Soul Toasters". That was impressive!!! A band of 10 musicians including a fantastic horn section and 3 singers. All dressed in black suits and wearing sunglasses they were performing a party-music. They played power Blues and Soul songs of a wide range from Blues Brothers Band, James Brown, Aretha Franklin etc. etc. That was the perfect music for an open-air party and none was able to stand still there. A perfect concert!

After we danced an hour in the first row, Jale began to get tired and so we made our way back to the car. On our way, there was another stage where a band called "Casino" was performing improvisations on traditional Cuban Son and Salsa music. They played "unplugged" and it was fascinating. A mix between fun, hot temper, rhythm but also melancholy and sentimentality. I danced there for some 15 minutes more, with Jale on my arms, before we returned back home.
I am sure that we will remind this night for a long time.

The Bremen Jazz Festival will last from August 09th - 12th and I hope that we will find the time to take part again.

Geocaching with iPod

Wow...a huge geocaching revival day today. Jale wanted to spend a day with her godmother and so I took a day off too. Took a can of coffee and some fruits with me and went off to explore some more of the countryside surrounding my hometown.

There was something special on my Geocaching tour today. I did not take any printed cache description with me. It was my first day of "paperless caching". All the bookmarks of the caches that I am intending to visit are now saved to my iPod as text files. That worked out pretty good and I had a very succesfull and relaxed day with 11 founds.
10 of them have been old fashioned traditional caches but the first one was a new published multi-cache and I was only the second to find it.

Here are the caches that I found today:
Immer Revival
Midnight Oil
Schäferei in Westerholt
Der Fluss des Vergessens
Tilly's Biotop
Ich hab's im Kreuz
Wildenloh Team Süd
Kai's Kronkorken
Seniorensee
marsnob1
HnF-Flugplatz Hatten

Another sunny day ...another beach

When I woke up this morning another super sunny day had just started off and I was still thinking about the day before...near the sea...in the sun....hmmmmm...(I even found some white sand corns in my bed ;-)) when all over sudden my mobile phone rang and my friend called me and asked if we wouldn't like to join him. He has a caravan standing on a camping site near a sea and he was spending some days there with his 5 y.o. son Marvin. Wow, that fitted perfect to my intentions and in the end this day was even more lazy than the day before for me. Jale played with Marvin all the day and we sat in our chairs at the private beach with our feet in the water and enjoyed the sun.
It was nice to have so much time to talk and to be able to watch at human behaviours at the beaches...very interesting studies!!!
Some were like this:

Langeoog

A day off at the North Sea Island Nordseeinsel Langeoog is like a longer vacation in a compressed form to us. The moment you arrive at the pier, you only have eyes for all the maritime stuff around you.

Seagulls are crowing every around, the salty wind is whispering like "welcome" and the waves with their monotonous sound are giving you a peacefull feeling.
Today it was sunday and high time for tourists and even low tide but with 4 boats the ferry boat company somehow managed to bring them all over to the island.
We did nothing but spending the day at the beach. We played in water, jumped the waves and did a little boat ride. We had a good picnic with fruits and vegetables, took an extended sun-bath and nearly forgot the time when the clock stroke 4.30 p.m. and we had to hurry to catch the last boat back to the mainland.

But late in the evening, when I washed away a kilogram of beach sand and salt from my skin, I felt a bit sentimental...another vacation has gone. But none can take the images and memories of this day away from me.

Geocaching - Weserwehr, Mein 180. Cache

Reha, the last day - the end of independance

Today is the day. I have read through 3 books and 1500 pages, I drove nearly 450 kilometres by bike, I enjoyed heavy storm and rain as well as sunny days on the beach....seems as if I know every tree and every sandkorn over here now. I met good and bad people, I received lots of smiles and one person wanted to give even more to me (;-))...what else could I ask for??

And yes-it is high time to leave and say goodbye to the good time that I had over here. I enjoyed it. Never got homesick and soaked up every moment. But as always, I am beginning to get restless again. So, I don't regret the time over here but I need to leave to open another chapter in life. I feel curious, powerfull, restless again...even though I know that this will be the end of 3 weeks of independance where I was able to do whatever I wanted during my freetime.

Since many of the readers of this blog were asking me about the beautiful photos from my Reha (they aren't really that good...taken with my mobile-phone cam only, but thanks for being polite), I published them all in a web album.

Reha, day 15 - Entertainer

Today I joined a lecture concerning the right usage of programs against back pain. The lecture was held by a doctor. An impressive appearance. A coloured man, appr. 200 cm tall with a weight of maybe 150kg. He came in as if he was listening to some good music and if there would have been some burning trash bins around, the clichee would have been perfect.

He told us some exciting “news”, such as: If you would not have a spine, you wouldn’t be able to stand upright.

Or: Find a balance if you have to carry heavy things. Don’t carry a crate of beer in one hand and only a cigarette in the other hand. Better carry a crate of beer in every hand and keep the cigarette in your mouth.

Or: Grannies shouldn’t carry any heavy load at all. They should wait until their grandchildren come for the Sunday visit to take money, and let them care for the heavy goods.

Really, this doc was funny….a talented entertainer

Why is Friday 13th Considered to be Unlucky?

Why is Friday 13th Considered to be Unlucky?

No one knows for sure what's up with our odd fear of Friday the 13th, so ingrained in pop culture that it has a movie series and one mouthful of a phobia—paraskavedekatriaphobia—in its honor.

Folklorists think the dread goes back at least a few centuries, and may well trace its roots all the way to Biblical times, when the 13th guest at the Last Supper betrayed Jesus and caused his Crucifixion, which was held on a Friday. Whatever the origin, by the late Middle Ages both Friday and the number 13 were considered bearers of misfortune. That potent combo, more than any specific association with the date, is what has deemed Friday the 13th unlucky.

Today it's dismissed as an old superstition but—if given a choice—how many of us would eschew getting married, flying or giving birth on a Friday the 13th? Superstition, indeed.

Reha, day 14 - Relaxation and pirates

Today was a relaxing day again. To give you an idea of how such a relaxing day looks over here, here is my schedule for today:

9.00 Uhr Muskelentspannung / Muscle Relaxation

about 15 people sitting together in a circle, closing their eyes and listening to a psychologist who is telling them of how to consciously strain and relax their muscles.very effective way of exploring your body.

10.30 Uhr Rückenschule / Learning of how to use exercises for back problems

nothing but another lecture from a therapeut. This time about the correct way of sleeping/lying, matrazes, pillows etc.

11.30 Uhr Fango

heating up before massage

12.00 Uhr Full-body massage

with my favourite Masseuse....hmmmm

15.00 Uhr Gesprächsgruppe Schmerzpatient / Focus Group for pain patients

Together with a psychologist we tried to find about the mysery of a „vicious circle“ of pain – psychology – physiology. Now we know that this vicious circle exists and hopefully next week we will find a way to break out of it.

The physically hardest exercises were the meals today!! So, at 4.00 p.m. I jumped on my bike and drove into the wild forest for some activity and geocaching. There was a cache called “Strandpiraten (beach pirates)”. I needed a few days to solve the quests and find out about the coordinates of the cache box. Today I found it easily and the cachebox was hidden very nice. Under a tree with a fishermans net, under a plate…just like you would expect a real pirates treasure to be hidden. Fortunately Captain Black and his pirates were somewhere sailing the seven seas and I was able to log the cache alone and in silence

Reha, day 10 - Geocaching

Today I wanted to do some geocaching again and drove about 20 kilometres by bike to the first location. That was easy but at the second location, I found out that this cache was not evenreachable by bike. So, I had to walk all the way to the cache. 3 kilometres to + 3 kilometres fro!!! That could have been a nice walk in a nature reservate, but it was sunday and many many people seemed to have a similar idea. So, the whole walk looked a bit like a Polonaise….that’s not what I like and after finding the cache hidden under a tree, I decided to not go on searching for today but to spend the rest of the day at the beach, listening to the waves and the wind, feeling the sun and salty air on my skin.

This days kilometres: 54,65 + 6 kilometres walking

Overall kilometres: 212,40

Reha, day 6 - eerily encounter

Today I was again to my cardio and weight training. While I was sitting on the ergometer for a warm-up, a man came in and I immediately thought that I know that guy from somewhere. All over sudden I realized where I knew this guy from. It was Egon Krenz, one of the last presidents of the GDR. Was not a 100% sure about him but when Franca said: “Are you getting along with your weights, Mr. Krenz?” I was sure. So I did some training with one of the last GDR presidents after Honecker. He is quite a normal guy, quiet but with a nice Lacoste Shirt and Reebok Shoes.

Later that evening I was to the Sauna and one woman living here said that Krenz has a huge Villa here nearby…he saved it from former socialistic GDR times. Because I have always lived in West Germany, I wanted to know what former GDR people think/thought about this man. There was only one comment: “We hated him so much!”

And b t w – my arm today looks purple with light yellow and brown shades…

Tuesday 3 July 2007

Reha, day 5 - a blue day

My arm decided to “wear” blue today…nearly 30 cm in blue!!!

My days are getting more settled now. I know where all those places for exercises are and can concentrate now on my freetime in between. Usually I take the time in between exercises (usually 30-60 minutes) to lay down somewhere in the sun to read or listen to music. The weather is still too bad to go to the beach for alonger stay. For the weekend we are expecting sunny weather and on my bike-tours I have discovered a very peacefull piece of beach. I think I will spend my weekend there.

Today, after my last exercises at 3.00h p.m. I decided to go for another bike tour to the west-beach of this island. On my way back I was surprised by a very heavy rain and storm which caused me a delay of 45minutes and made me miss my supper. So, I took a snack on my way back and when I was back at the clinic, I only read for an hour and fell asleep with my book in my hands.

Is that total relaxation?? I guess it must be something similar…

Geocaching - Mein 170. Cache

Reha, day 4 - Vampirella

Today it was the end of laziness. At 6.45h I had to appear at the nurses office to give blood. No big deal…normally. But the nurse (let’s call her…Vampirella) must have had a very bad weekend, lost her glasses somewhere or simply did not like me (maybe even all 3 reasons came together??). All 3 reasons would be understandable but does it really matter here??? To say it brief: she hit the needle in my arm and I was asking her if maybe she and not me needs a stay at a rehabilition centre. She did her job so badly that I am expecting my arm to change its colours day by day from blue to purple to green. That will be nice…like a surreal painting, but it will also hurt during my exercises. Anyway – Vampirella is not among my closest friends now.

I also had some Fango and massages, some cardio traning and muscle training today. But all that was nice and relaxing.

Reha, day 2 - a day by bike

This day I spent mostly on my bike. In the mornings I did 20 kilometres along the Baltic Sea Shore. I spent some time at a small Sail Boat Regatta and enjoyed my time there, lying in the sun and listening to the sound of the waves.

In the afternoon I did some more geocaching and exploring the woods north of Ahrenshoop. The forest there may be approximately 15 x 10 kilomtres so that’s a wide area there. It is even called a “jungle” and yes, there are plants of 2 ormore metres height. The terrain changes very often from swampy to white sand, from good ways to muddy paths. But everyway trees and plants. If you have had enough of woods, just look at your compass, turn direction west and after a few kilometres you will always reach the white, sandy beach of the Baltic Sea. That was fantastic! I was nearly alone there because the weather was very windy with rain in between. So I often made a break and lay down in the white sand to watch the seagulls and to see how the waves constantly trying to get back what ones belonged to the sea.

The bike routes over here are not the best. Very often they are made of concrete slabs 180 x 30 cm, and there is always some space between them. Feels as if every second there is someone hitting your bike with a hammer. So I tried to avoid those concrete slabs and tried to drive on the small 30 cm besides them.

It was a nice but tyring day. In the end I had driven nearly 60 kilometres and spent some 5 hours out in nature. My muscles were getting harder and harder and I even missed supper ( but I expected that and it was not too bad). Tomorrow I better have a rest, because on Monday I am expecting a lot of exercises and therapy waiting for me.

Reha, day 1 – why do people always forget me??

My first day was nice and easy.I travelled to Bremen Main Station by bike (16 kilometres) took my bike with me on the train and left the train 3,5 hours later in a small village. The clinic wrote me that they would catch me and my bike there. So, I waited but none appeared. I called at to the Reha-Clinic and …. “Oh I am so sorry, looks as if we have forgotten you, we will send you a taxi in a minute.” The taxi brought me to the clinic and after check-in I had to go to the first medical inspection.. After the nurse had checked some basics, she told me that I should wait a minute for the doctor. I waited not only one but 60 minutes. I asked the nurse 2 times if I should maybe come back later, but no, the doc will be here in a minute. So, after 60 minutes the doctor came out of her office, looking at me and asking my name. I told her and she: “Oh, I am so sorry, I have forgotten you! I just wanted to leave for my weekend” We had a very nice conversation for maybe 1,5 hours and after the first medical examination, she said that I am in fairly good shape. I will receive my therapy-plan only on Monday and the weekend is free.

So, here I am – let’s see what’ll happen
